3G Technology

3G Technology

3G is the third general of wireless technologies. It comes with many improvements over the earlier wireless technology, like the high speed transmission, advanced multimedia access and global roaming. 3g is mostly used with mobile and handsets as a means to connect the phone or other IP networks in order to make voice and video calls, to download and upload data and to surf the net.

3G technologies make the use of TDMA and CDMA. The 3G (Third Generation Technology) the technologies brand which use of value added services like mobile television, GPS (global positioning system) and video conferencing. The basic feature of 3G Technology is a fast data transfer rates. Though this feature is not currently working properly because of ITU 200 is still making decision to fix the data rates. It is probable that 2mbit/sec for stationary users, while 348kbits when moving or traveling. ITU sell many regularity rates in order to make use of broadband technologies. Network verification has won the trust of users, because the user can rely on its network as a reliable source of transferring data.

3G technology is much flexible and 3g is also able to support the 5 major radio technologies. These radio technologies operate below FDMA, TDMA and CDMA. The CDMA holds for the IMT-DS (Direct Spread), IMT-MC (Multi Carrier). TDMA accounts for IMT-TC (Time Code), IMT-SC (Single Carrier). The FDMA has only one radio edge known as IMT-FC or Frequency code. The third generation technology is really affordable due to the agreement of industry. This agreement just took a step in order to increase its getting by the users. 3G system is well-matched to work with the 2G technologies. 3G (Third Generation Technology) technologies holds the dream that they should be expandable on demand. The aim of the 3G is to allow for more coverage and growth with minimum investment.

There are various 3g technologies as W-CDMA, GSM EDGE, UMTS, DECT, WiMax, and CDMA 2000. Improved data rates for GSM development or EDGE is expression to as a backward digital technology, because it can be operate with older devices. EDGE is also permit for faster data transfer than existing GSM. EDGE was introduced by AT & T in 2003 and EDGE was increased the GSM coverage up to three times more. EDGE is a 3G technology it can be used for packet switched systems. UMTS the (Universal mobile telecommunications system) is follows to ITU-IMT 2000 standard. It is complex network and allows for covering radio access, core network and USIM (Subscribe Identity module). It is comparatively expensive technology for the network operators because it requires new and separate infrastructure for its coverage. The GSM is the base of this technology. CDMA is also declaring as IMT-MC and this technology is closed to 2G technology GSM and since it is also backward and well-matched.

The digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) is another 3G technology the Third Generation technology. DETC was developed by European telecommunication standards institute; though it is now extensively popular in the other countries of the world and its runs as well over a frequency of 1900Mhz. Wimax is another 3G Technology and it is also mentioned to as worldwide and able to use information and exchange for heat access. It is a wireless technology. It also conveys variety of wireless signals. It can be operated on the multi point and also a point mode. It is a portable technology and this technology is based on the wireless internet access. The WiMax was developed in 2001 by WiMax discussion. These technologies take away the need for wires and it is capable and sufficient to deliver 10mbits/sec. so here go for 3G with any connection.
