DTH service provider, Bharti Airtel’s has partnered with Aakash Educational services limited for providing coaching services through their interactive service. These services are providing the test series courses of one year for Medical entrance exam – for the students of STD: XI, XII. They are planning for other medical entrance exams like NEET, AIIMS etc. for 2013. The coaching course will be starting in July and will be continued till April/ May 2013. Engineering enthusiast are also planned to be included in by the company. Airtel Digital Subscribers need to SMS ADD MED 54325 to subscribe this course from the registered mobile number. Aakash’s medical courses on iExam can be accessed by the Airtel subscribers on channel #106.Quick recap of the topic for brush-up, is included by this course features, it will provide all together 40 question per day (10 questions in subject for e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany). Tests will be taken by the coachers on weekdays; these test papers will contain 60 questions on the topics which will be covered in a month on Sundays.
Television will be the media to analysis performances on the spot, accuracy and timings will also be analysed completely. A free sample trial is provided for the students who take tests, answer and solution for each question. In order to prepare for the competitive exams students are offered coaching modules, mock and practice tests by the company. iExam was launched by Airtel in the earlier period of this year. Several coaching centres across the country has done partnership with the company for this intiative.Engineering test content for AIEEE, IIT and other different state level entrance exam is provide by this services through various packages which are starting at rate of 49 per week.Airtel also plans to add exam content for PMT examination, CAT and BankPO by tying up with the suitable partners in the future. As the space has been covered or getting crowded with new services offered on mobile and tablets, and services which are available on the internet and now recently on DTH operators it should be taken care that are the students really comfortable switching to digital content for accessing the study material. To get the solutions for the exams a middle class student can find it difficult to buy a tablet than a TV as it is cheaper than a tablet .
An English Tutorials services are recently launched by Airtel DTH by tying up with Hungama and Aptech. Similar type of services are also offered by DTH operator Tata Sky, Active English as the content is being offered by the British Council. To launch two interactive services on TV known as iGoodlife and iDarshan, Airtel is partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment and NDTV in April 2011, other various services like iAstro, iFaisal, iradio and iKidsworld are also available on Airtel DTH. 7.2 millions crowd is been occupied by Airtel digital TV which was launched in April 2008.
