Still we were facing the problem in using internet until it was been able to dig up the roads and installed own cables only for internet connectivity. After having own cable dugged by internet, the speed was 10 times much better and so the connectivity. After the entrance of broadband in india, the capital of india has increased amd so the employment also. Though the growth is very moderate, broadband can be more developed in our country. Government has funded broadband for rural areas. TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) is playing an important role in providing broadband services in rural india also.

Previously in the world of internet for india, there were only 2 big tycoons, MTNL and BSNL. BSNL is a telecom owned by state and offer maximum telecom services. It has improved its quality of service and also gained a market share in rural india.  But now the shares of BSNL and MTNL are going down due to the entry of many private providers like TATA Teleservices, Vodafone, Airtel etc. The customers are not stable with any on provider always and keep on changing their providers due to cost factor or some other factor like quality of services etc. VSNL is the first company to start with internet services in india. They were very fast in building up the customers.

In 2010 our government auctioned 3G and wireless internet was introduced in our country. Our country is having now millions of users and standing at the third position for having so many internet users in the world. In india, there are hundreds of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to provide broadband services. Among the private sector, Bharti is leading today in offering the broadband services.

Our government is trying to reach to all the parts of our country. Cellular operators are given the permission to provide all the services of internet throughout the india. WLL has also been introduced. We are also going to start with 4G services in india very soon. In no longer time, India will be having all type of Internet services, all over india.

An English Tutorials services are recently launched by Airtel DTH by tying up with Hungama and Aptech. Similar type of services are also offered by DTH operator Tata Sky, Active English as the content is being offered by the British Council. To launch two interactive services on TV known as iGoodlife and iDarshan, Airtel is partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment and NDTV in April 2011, other various services like iAstro, iFaisal, iradio and iKidsworld  are also available on Airtel DTH. 7.2 millions crowd is been occupied by Airtel digital TV  which was launched in April 2008.

Depending on real-world variables consumers need to realize that 4G can also deliver speeds up to 10 times slower than 3G. 4G network is all IP-based so it passes in same way the information between the phone and carrier as a web browser communicates with the Internet. Theoretical 4G talks about giving speed of 14.4 mbps.

As per to real world things – consumers don’t experience the same speed as said by 4G. Due to people moving while using their devices, distance from the cell tower and interference from walls and objects the speed delivered by 4G network is only 3 to 5 mbps. There have been fine tuning by the carriers for their 3G networks to account for these real world things and delivers the speed of 2 to 3 mbps. Being newer still 4G has to be tuned by the carriers.

4G network is facing a weak signal and it is worse than a good 3G signal. Because of the weak signal the cost factor is high in 4G network. Qualcomm Inc: It has granted the 4G airwaves in May nearly two year after they won them in auction. The permit will be grant in October by the ministry of Telecom. It has won 4G spectrum for four of 22 telecom zones in India. Qualcomm’s Inc has spent nearly $1 billion to buy 4G radio airwaves in auction. It is pushing for deployment of LTE in India and looking for more operator partners in the India Broadband Venture.

BHARTI AIRTEL: It is the 1^st and only service provider to launch 4G in India. It had a headstart after launching its 4G services in Kolkata and Bangalore. Airtel 4G provides aUSB modem for high speed connectivity with many good features in it. They are having different bill plan for customers as per to the usage in GB with the speed of 128kbps. A user has to buy a USIM (Universal Subscriber Identification Module) from airtel to use its 4G services because it is different from the current SIM supporting only 2G and 3G. The memory of a normal SIM is 64 kb and USIM is 128kb.

It is going to acquire 49% stake in Qualcomm’s Inc 4G in the country for $165 billion. Radio city has also demonstrated about internet after tie up with Airtel to showcase the new 4G in Bangalore.

RIL’s INFOTEL: 4G network might be provided by Samsung Electronics to Reliance Industries owned by Infotel Broadband in New Delhi/ Kolkata for $1 billion (about 5,500 crore). The Infotel’s 4G services will be firstly launched in Mumbai and Delhi by LTE (Long term evolution technology) network. As per to the information provided to Economic times it also says that there are two companies which are discussing about bundling of a 4G handset and devices supply deal within the contract.

About 3000 base stations are going to be supplied by Samsung to Infotel for its ongoing equipment trials, for Mumbai. Reliance is also talking with Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Network as they are having good knowledge and experience of managing network of mobile carriers in india. A field trial is going under way at its own oil refinery at Jamnagar. Mr. Ambani is running into hurdles as the cost for building a 4G network is higher than anticipated. Reliance would be the largest of any  in 4G network outside U.S. and Japan. It is the only company to have 4G airwaves in all 22 telecoms zones in India.

RIM: Research In Motion is going to launch 4G LTE – enabled BlackBerry PlayBook tablet very soon in Canada. The availability of this device in India is expected only after the launch of the tablet. This tablet will have a SIM card slot to support 4G LTE network. It will come only in 32GB version.

Aircel is also planning to launch 4G services between October and December. It is looking for the partnership with companies like MTS and will invest $500 million to launch TD-LTE services in Chennai.

So in this case Digital media is much safer and trusted platform for the Marketer to market their products without any error unlike Print medium.
